John Barrowman's new video for the first single off his new album was released today.
I love the song - his voice is lush and gorgeous, as always. The video....well, it's better than the ones made for his last CD, heh. It reminds me a lot of cheesy 90s videos. And those end shots of John - I seem to recall Rob Thomas in similar video poses.
Ah, well. I don't expect brilliance from his performances, or depth to his videos, just entertainment and excellent vocals. He always is damn good at that. He's also damn good at looking good - wasn't keen on the jacket-over-sweater scenes, but the blue plaid shirt and brown t-shirt scenes were drool-worthy.
When I was born: Morning Train (9-5). I am not a fan of this song. LOL I missed Bette Davis eyes by 5 days. Rats! Now that song I like.
21st birthday: Foolish. Ack, really don't like R&B. The only top song of 2002 that I like is January's, Nickelback and How You Remind Me.
This year, my 25th, the top song was Bad Day. Now that one I like!! Along with the McShep and Rodney vids that accompany it. LOL
Part two. *g*
Yesterday, my brother was playing Christmas songs. Mostly Jingle Bells. Mom was singing along. It made me go, "Hmm. I wonder if I could dig out my Christmas CD booklet." And I didn't, because I was in bed with a migraine most of the day, and I was in no position to do anything.
I'm listening to XM 40s, one of my favorite channels. I'm so excited about their D-Day presentaion on Tuesday, with news updates from 1944. I actually bought XM last year because of this tradition they have. (And also I'd fallen in love with it over Memorial Day weekend with Biz, but that was what pushed me into buying it right that day.) So anyway, I have it on and they're airing a 1940s commericial about not traveling if you don't really need to. I imagine it was Christmastime, because "I'll Be Home For Christmas" was playing quietly in the background. And I got all melty. Because without exception, the music that gets me into a happy mood is Christmas music. I love Christmas music like no other. I start putting one or two Christmas songs on my car mix CDs in October, people. I start listening full time around Thanksgiving, if not a little earlier. I start, always, with *NSYNC's Home For Christmas, my favorite holiday CD ever, which then moves into my car player until January. At home, I listen to my other CDs and mixes, and last year started with XM's Christmas channels. So much love.
I just bought a Tchaikovsky CD on Friday, as he's my favorite composer. It has some Nutcracker on it. Perhaps it's worth a listen right now.... *g*
My My My My My Boogie Shoes! ::dances like Dana Whittaker:: How can life be bad when there are Boogie Shoes around?
Now I want something giant and blue to drink. Sadly there are no gay dogs by me.
And rats, youtube is down, or else I could link to the ep! Well, I can link, it's Dear Louise, but I can't import. *g*
